What Personal Data Is Collected and Why

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site, the data shown in the comments form is collected, along with the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string. This helps with spam detection.

An anonymized string (hash) created from the email address may be provided to the Gravatar service to check for a linked account. The Gravatar privacy policy is available at: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of a comment, the profile picture is visible publicly in the context of the comment.

Media

Visitors who upload images to the website are advised to avoid including embedded location data (EXIF GPS), as other users may be able to extract this information.
